RICE VARIETY PC10

1. Origin

Authors: Le Thi Thuc, Nguyen Tan Hinh, Truong Van Kinh, Nguyen Trong Khanh – Conventional Rice Research and Development Center – FCRI

– PC10 was bred from Khang dân/MTL 195, and it was temporatory certified as Decision No. 220/QĐ-TT-CLT date 08/10/2008.

2. Major morphology and varietal characteristics

– Growth duration: 100-105 days

– Plant height: 90-95 cm

– Panicle length 22.5cm; grain/panicle 120; 1000 grain weight 24.1g; milling rate 69%, grain length 6.5mm and amylose content is 21-22%.

– Average yield of 5.5-6.5 tons/ha.

– PC10 has high resistance to brown plant hopper, mild infected to Blast and bacterial blight leaves, and lodging.
