SWEET POTATO VARIETY KLC266

 1.    Origin

KLC266 was selected from imported material of CIP. It has been introducing to production since 2011 according to Decision No. 268/QĐ-TT-CLT dated 31/5/2011.

2. Major morphology and varietal characteristics

– Growth duration: 115-120days (winter); 145-150 days (spring)

– Lobed leaf, purple stem, short knot but good growth and regenerate ability.

– Long tuber, link red tuber skin color, yellow flesh, high starch content 32,4-39,7%, carotenoid ppm/100g of dry biomass (DB, ß-carotene 132ppm/100g of DB.

– Good eating quality an suitable to dometic consumers’ taste.

– Good resistantance to fungal diseases (scab, leaf and stem) and bacterial wilt. It is light sensitive to stubby-root.

– Average yield of 12 – 14tons/ha, in good cultivation can reach 18 – 20tons/ha.
