Functions

The Center is a scientific unit belonging to FCRI with the following functions: Testing, evaluating, tranferring and selling field crop varieties

Tasks

• Testing field crop varieties
• Building demonstration field, introducing the institute new technologies
• Producing and providing, servicing and selling field crop varieties according to the State laws and regulations
• Evaluating field crop seed (mainly for rice)
• Offering service to the institute research centers and divisions
• Doing extension and transfering technologies
• Anual building detailed activity plans for affiliated departments/units on the basis of balancing ability, financial and human resources to make maximum use of potentials of land, specialty products, technical staff, machinery and equipment of the Center.
