CONVENTIONAL RICE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Functions
Conventional Rice Research and Development Center is a public scientific unit under the Field Crops Research Institute. The Center has the functions of scientific research, breeding, technology transfer and trading of inbred rice varieties in the North and Central regions of Vietnam.

Tasks
– Develop and implement programs, topics, projects, plans for scientific research and technology transfer in the field of inbred rice.
– Research on genetics, selection and development of inbred rice varieties and specialty rice varieties for the Red River Delta and other regions with similar ecological conditions.
– Research cultivation techniques and technological processes to develop inbred rice.
– Cooperate with domestic and foreign individuals and organizations in related fields of inbred rice.
– Participate in training, consulting, providing science and technology services and agricultural extension in the field of inbred rice.
– Maintain original varieties, breeder’s varieties, transfer technical advances and production and trading of inbred rice and other agricultural products.
– Importing and exporting inbred rice seeds, products and materials for agricultural production according to the provisions of law.
