- Origin
– HD16 was selected from a hybrid combination of (HT1/IRBB66)/(HT1/238H)//HT1.
– The rice variety was temporarily recognized according to Decision No. 25/QD-TT-CLT dated January 22, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
– Authors: Pham Thien Thanh, Tang Thi Diep, Nguyen Trong Khanh, Duong Xuan Tu, Phan Thi Thanh, Nguyen Phuong Nga, Tong Thi Huyen
- Agronomic characteristics
– Total growth duration: 129-137 days in spring season; 103-113 days in summer
– Plant height: 110 – 120 cm, good lodging resistance.
– 1000-grain weight (24.1-25.6 g), long grain (6.8 mm)
– Harvested yield is from 62-80 quintals/ha in spring season and from 52-70 quintals/ha in summer season.
