HYBRID RICE LHD6

1. Origin

Authors: Ha Van Nhan, Nguyen Thanh Luan, Nguyen Tri Hoan et al., Inbred Rice Research and Development Center, FCRI.

LHD6 was developed from male sterilezi TGMS -H20 and father RT9. LHD6 was introduced to production according to Decision No. 166/QĐ-TT-CLT dated 31/05/2010.

2. Major morphology and varietal characteristics

– Growth duration: 130-135 (DS); 105-107 (WS)

– Plant height: 95-100cm, good logging resistance and high adatation

– Grain/panicle: 220-250, unfill grain of 12%, 1000seed weight of 27g, grain leight of 7.2mm. Amylose content of 20%, milling rate of 72%.

– Average yield: 7.0-8.0 tons/ha (DS), 6.0-6.5  tons/ha (WS),

–  LHD6 has good resistante to PBH
