INBRED RICE GL25 (TD25

1. Origin

 – Gia Loc 25 (TD25) was selected from a triple hybrid combination of Gia Loc 16/IR85420//IR62.

 – The variety was introduced into production according to Decision No. 448/QD-TT-CLT dated November 28, 2023 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

2. Agronomic characteristics

– Growth duration: 130-135 days in spring season and 110-115 days in summer season.

– Erect plant, dark yellow seed, length/width ratio (2.68), brown grain ratio (81.45%), milled grain ratio (63.85%), whole grain/milled grain ratio (52.95%), amylose content (13.41%), 1000-seed weight (21.9-24.5 g).

– Resist to blast race u63-i3-k100-z04-ta423 (disease level 3/9); susceptible to bacterial blight Xoo_2237 (disease level 7/9); moderate susceptible to brown planthopper collected in Nghia Hung, Nam Dinh representing the Red River Delta (disease level 5/9).

– Yield is from 61.76-69.33 quintals/ha in spring season and from 47.41-67.33 quintals/ha in summer season.

– The variety is short growth duration, can cultivate at highly intensive conditions, suitable for late spring season and early summer season in irrigated highland and hilly soil of the Red River Delta region of Vietnam.
