HYBRID RICE HYT116

1. Origin

– HYT116 was developed from a combination of AMS 30S/R116 (R128).

– The variety was introduced into production according to the Decision No. 5101/QD-BNN-TT dated December 31, 2019 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

2. Agronomic characteristics

– Growth duration: 125 – 135 days in late spring season and 105 – 115 days in early summer season.

– Plant height (100-110 cm), good lodging resistance, good resistance to main pests and diseases (sheath blight, brown plant hopper, bacterial blight).

– Yield: 76 – 91 quintals/ha in spring season, 70 – 81 quintals/ha in summer season.

– 1000-seed weight (24.2 – 25.5 g), medium grain length, good quality rice.
