HYBRID TOMATO VT15

1. Origin

– VT15 is developed from the combination of D15/D24.

– The variety was introduced into production according to the Document No. 245/VCLT-KH dated Aug 10, 2021 of the Field Crops Research Institute.

2. Agronomic characteristics

– Vigorous growth and development, semi-determinate growth habit.

– Growth duration (130-135 days), first harvesting (75-80 days), plant height (1.25-1.38 m).

– Round fruit shape, H/D index (1.06), thick flesh (>0.9 cm), dry matter content (5.8%), few seeds, brix (5.21%), nice red fruit color.

– Yield: 68.49 tons/ha in autumn – winter season; 74.88 tons/ha in winter season.

– Resistance to late blight, yellow leaf curl virus.

–  Adaptable to irrigated area of Red River Delta and Northern Mountain regions.
