POTATO JELLY

  1. Origin

– Jelly was imported from Germany by EuroPlant Germany Company, was selected from a combination of Marabel x 173/87/4476.

– The variety was temporarily introduced into production according to the Decision No. 246/QD-TT-CLT, dated August 5, 2019 of the Department of Crop Production, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

– It was also introduced into production according to the Document No. 211/VCLT-KH dated July 6, 2021, notice of acceptance of the Department of Crop Production 888/TB-TT-CLT dated September 1, 2021

  1. Agronomic characteristics

– Growth duration (85-90 days).

– Long oval tuber shape, shallow eyes, yellow tuber skin, yellow flesh.

– Slight infection of late blight, bacterial wilt, virus, aphid, mite, thrip; good resistance to virus Y (PVY); moderate resistance to virus (PLRV).

– 6-7 tubers/hill, very high potential yield, high proportion of large tubers (Ø > 50mm).

– Slight susceptible to leaf spot, leaf blight; no symptoms of phytoplasma disease; good tolerance to drought, cold and lodging.

– Dry matter ratio (18-20%), reducing sugar content (>0.5%), starch ratio (>16%).

– Good quality, a variety for fresh eating.
