SWEET POTATO VARIETY KLC3

1.    Origin

KLC3 was selected from open pollinated of HT3 by FCRI

2. Major morphology and varietal characteristics

– Plant type: vine and vegetable plant type with good branching

– Leaf type: cordate and dentate leaf, with blue vein and blue leaf

– Tuber type: long and smooth. light pink in tuber skin and flesh color

– Growth duration: 110 – 120 days (winter); 130 – 140 days (spring)

– Good growth and development, and high regeneration aboility

– Average yield: 19,7  – 22,1 tons/ha (winter); 20,2 – 24,5 tons/ha (spring).

-Total dry biomass: 29 – 30% (winter); 31,4% (spring); and starch content: 20,9%.
