TWO LINE HYBRID RICE HYT102

1. Origin

Authors: Nguyen Tri Hoan, Nguyen Thi Gam, Le Hung Phong, Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, Le Dieu My, Tran Duy Dong et al. – Hybrid Rice Research and Development Center, FCRI.

– HYT102 two line hybrid rice was developed from combination AMS 30S/GR10. HYT102 was introduced according to Decision No. 88/QĐ-TT-CLT dated 22/4/2008. F1 seed production was easy than three line hybrid rice F1.

2. Major morphology and varietal characteristics

– Growth duration: 130-135 (DS); 105 – 110 (WS)

– Plant height: 95-100cm, good logging resistance and high adatation

-High grain/panicle, 1000seed weight of 23.5- 25g, grain leight of 7.2mm. Amylose content of 20%, milling rate of 72%.

– Average yield: 7.5-8.5 tons/ha (DS), 5.9-6.7  tons/ha (WS),

–  HYT 102 has good resistante to major diseases and pests such as blast, sheath blight, BB, PBH.
