TAROO KS15

1. Origin

– KS15 was imported from China.

– The variety was introduced into production according to the Document No. 255/VCLT-KH dated July 17, 2023 of the Field Crops Research Institute for the Northern provinces.

2. Agronomic characteristics

– Growth duration (200-220 days in spring-summer season).

– Oval-shaped tubers, brown skin, white flesh.

– Tuber yield (19.6-23.6 tons/ha), tuber dry matter content (20.61-23.7%), tuber starch content (20.5% of fresh matter; 74.94% of dry matter).

– Good resistance to pests (cavities, aphids, red spider mites), moderate infection with late blight.

– Eating quality: friability (score 1), stickiness (score 3), delicious taste.
