1. Origin

Authors: Nguyen Tri Hoan, Nguyen Thi Gam, Le Hung Phong, Hoang Thi Hai et al. – Hybrid Rice Research and Development Center, FCRI.

– HYT100 was developed from combination 25A/R100. HYT100 was introduced according to Decision No. 78/QĐ-TT-CLT dated 8/4/2010.

2. Major morphology and varietal characteristics

– Growth duration: 125-130 (DS); 110-115 (WS)

– Plant height: 90-100 cm, high tiller number, green leaf

– Good milling rate (69-71%), long stagnat grain, good eating quality with soft and aromatic cooked rice.

– Average yield: 7.0-8.0 tons/ha (DS), 6.0-7.0  tons/ha (WS),

– HYT100 has good eating quality , soft and aromatic. It was registed exclusive brand Thienhuong HYT92.

– HYT100 has medium tolerant to cold at seedling stage, hard stem at vegeative and maturing stages. Therefore, HYT100 has good logging resistance, and good major diseases resistance and intensive cultivation adaptation.
